Where to live in Seattle?

5 minutes from the nearest Starbucks, but that doesn't narrow it down much.

We've been here for a few days now looking around and, well, it' snice enough. I still can't say where I think we'll end up, but Queen Anne, parts of Capitol Hill, Kirkland and Bellevue are all still likely candidates.

Ha. I've been surfing the listings but I've been looking across the way to Port Orchard and Bremerton.

Not that we're ready to move yet ... but it doesn't hurt to think ahead.

Bothell seems pretty good and make the short list, as has Kirkland, Redmond and a few neighborhoods in Seattle.

It seems like every house is for sale and all of them are pricey. of order $450/ft^2!!

I will no doubt go into sticker shock when I arrive. Maybe a two hour drive from someplace far away and unfashionable wouldn't be so bad ...
