Hexagonal Structure on Saturn

Saturn's north pole is sporting a strange hexagonal structure.

I've never seen anything quite like it. I could imagine (and this would be going out on a limb) that there are six deep convection structures surrounding it, producing a stable area at the pole, but that would be a wild-assed guess.

Pretty cool though!

My guess (and I may be stretching the available data a bit) is that this is the headquarters of Saturn's planetary defense force. It is similar to the Pentagon in the US, but due to their superior alien intelligence and expanded operational scope (planetary vs. national), the Saturnians saw fit to add an additional side to the structure, and make it large enough to accomodate 4/5 of the Earth. Just a guess, though.

I thought Saturians were septapodal, making a 6-sided structure unlikely.

OTOH, they always go with the lowest bidder

Perhaps the Well of Souls really does exist?
